But not a single person here on the forum found a single argument against the fact that the Rodelero is overpriced garbage, Spain doesnât have proper team cards and all the archic combat units that requires 6 shipments to upgrade doesnât decide anything on the battlefield, and Spain cant take access to lategame wood.

How? They have 2 factories and you add logistician 300 wood crates. Thats more than most civs.

When @Kingfisher1787 told me that farms gather faster than mills, I said okay. Because itâs true. Show me where rodeleros carry the entire game like strelets or Dutch halberdiers. Iâll say okay too.

I donât care about the MOST civs. I only care about those who need wood to build units. And Spain is in the same shit as Haud.
Admittedly, I wasnât terribly clear here with something Iâve said before about Chinacos, but Lancers can force Dragoons in response (which you donât want to make as most civs because they arenât as pop efficient as 2 Musketeers). Forcing an opponent to make units they donât want to is a win in its self.
Also donât try to say âeveryone uses Skirm Goon in treatyâ and send a rec where you used far more Musketeers than Dragoons in the 20ish minutes of the battle that I watched. You mostly made skirm/musk/lance/artillery/natives (proving my point lol).
Btw, your opponent made like 4 culvs in like 20 mins from what I saw. Maybe I missed another batch, but Iâd think youâd know enough to know that rec proves nothing. He also had a slightly suboptimal deck and had a hard time keeping full pop (the latter is a skill issue). The map spawn was pretty brutal for him too, you getting to build a full FB across your river and him being stuck in baseâŠ
Having said all that, you did surprise me. You were far less bad than I expected based on the Sup game I watched part of.
So youâre saying itâs a skill issue⊠jokes aside, taking 600 elo players and expecting them to win you long, drawn out games is silly.
If you prefer Musketeers and Dragoons thatâs fine, just quit complaining about Rods when pros have already told you theyâre great. Now, kindly stop @ing me every other post.

Each rodelero is just a drain of resources in 0 result. To kill dragoons, you need skirmishers, and for hussars - musketeers. To use rodeleros as anti-cavalry, they must show a result higher than musketeers, but they show worse. Because unlike musketeers, they cannot fight cuirassiers, chinako, elmetos, elephants and sipahi.
This is not a topic about rodeleros, but about the fact that Spain has 4 cards, two of which are team cards - useless garbage, as are the units they improve. This is unacceptable. Other civilizations except Germany do not have such problems. If you did not notice, for some reason I do not discuss Mexico, France, Britain and others.

there are some with rods losing too, but yet every single high level player has them in deck. fascinating. they also have 8/12 pikeman and xbow age ups frequently as well. What if maybe the issue is an IQ one after all?
If I know one thing, not being facetious, is that pike bow and rods are very micro intensive. They are theoretically better than musk huss but require much cleaner micro. just as with skirm goon, its well known many players lack the skill to use these comps. But there is a difference between claiming something is bad, and just recognizing a unit is hard to use. I would hope if any brave soul had endured this far down, to know rods and archaic infantry are normal solid unit comps at mid level and above aoe3. for just about all civs that have them (prob not ports) In supremacy 1v1 2v2 and often 3v3. I would implore more sane people to look into old vids like kaisers micro guide to learn better how to control rod lancer or pike/xbow. Time To Micro mod is also a great tool for those looking to improve instead of becoming delusional.
P.S.- hard to find videos, but old aiz was legendary for getting fast micro type units to get max value

This is starting to look like a cult. If he had replaced the rodeleros with the musketeers, he would have finished the match earlier.
I didnât see any Rods+Lancer combo here. I saw a combo of Lancers, Rods, and for some reason Skirmishers. At the same time, the Rodelleros died as a whole in every fight.
