How would you improve Victors and Vanquished?

You have 24 hours to improve the situation, what would you add or do in the next 24 hours?

I would add scenario editor objects(trophies under the TC) and skins from the past events, as they already have the art for it. In case of skins, they already have the movement and death animation for them.
Some of the skins I would definitely add are Mandarin bushes, pumpkin patch farms, pineapple plant berry bushes, musketeer skin, elite eagle warrior with I can halberd and square shield.

There were some mods with lighting changes(full moon and scorching sun), those would be fun too.
Edit: Let’s talk about what can be done except for the price change, For price change the are many threads already.

Change the price to 5$.
That’s it.

Quit ripping us off. 5 is only acceptable if Filthy gets 98% of the profits for doing all the work

You are only being ripped of when you buy it.
Very easy to avoid getting ripped off.
Gucci doesn’t rip you off if you don’t buy their handbag.

Yea but I can get a different handbag. I cant buy an alternative aoe2 expansion that didnt exist until now

change the price to 3 eur. that’s what is worth. 5 is still just about acceptable

yes, but it’s also an insult to my intelligence when they claim this is worth 10 eur

You can get an alienative expansion. They are called custom campaigns. If you want voice over, just watch the youtube videos various content creators will upload anyway.

AoE2 is not the only game in existence either.
The alternative to a Gucci handbag is not another Gucci handbag.

lol there are full price games with less single player content.
The price of AoE DLC is pretty low in general.

It’s gonna be hard to find any DLC on Steam that costs less then 5$ that includes more then just a few skins.

A movie ticket costs a lot more money and gives you like 2 hours of entertainment.
How many hours of entertainment do you get out of only the entirely new missions included in the DLC?

I think 5$ or 5€ would be a pretty fair price.
13$ feels very wrong considering there are multiple 10$ DLC for AoE2DE.

By deleting this dlc and pretending it never happened !

Kidding it’s no way that happens. If I were devs, I would say “this is an upgraded scenarios pack, by purchasing this you’ll get voice-acting, rebalancing and achievements, also it’s a way to support the author, with only $5.” $5 is the most I can come with, considering how lots of people will buy it.

No way to improve this mess, it was a bad idea from it’s inception. It doesn’t even bring anything new to the scenario editor, not even hero skins. What’s the point? Only people who will buy this are campaign players who don’t like custom maps, that’s it.

What if the expansion I want isnt custom campaigns

Wait some more, there will surely be another dlc. Its not like this is the last dlc ever.

Yea heres the thing. Microsoft has a budget higher than most countries. This is lazy and shameful

Adding new civs that could use units from the Scenario Editor - not perfect but fast.

It isnt but there is no game that functions just like it. A generic handbag functions quite like a gucci so you misunderstand me because frankly Ill use a generic brand forbits function. What generic aoe2 at home game exists that fulfills the same utilitarian function of aoe2 compared to a generic handbag that can carry my stuff for me?

I would improve it by getting rid of it.

I don’t get all the hat.
If you don’t like it don’t buy it.
It’s not like RoR where you have to play against Romans in ranked or even like the icon DLC where you see other peoples icons being animated.
The only place where you encounter the DLC is the greyed out icon in the campaign list.

Yes and?
Why are you so angry about a product existing that you don’t want to buy?

It doesn’t take up any time for the developers so they can focus on fixing the game, making the next major DLC and implementing new features.

This DLC existing doesn’t change anything about AoE2 or about the way you enjoy it. Why are you so angry?

Tell that to someone that buys a Gucci handbag.

How does this DLC hurt you?
Does it mean they cancelled a real DLC instead and just gave the dev team 3 months of vacation time?

I wonder if when these people buy a phone, do they buy all it’s official accessories too? Or when they buy a car they buy all it’s accessories too? A compulsive need to buy all the DLCs/accessories seems like an expensive and stupid way to live.

Oh god imagine if AoE2 was only 1% as bad as car manufacturers.
You have to rent features in your car that are build in for very high sums of money. Like heated seats. It is physically there but you have to pay a subscription to unlock it.
I hate modern cars.

Imagine we had to pay monthly fees to be able to buy certain civilisations.

Oh wait this starts to sound like Fifa (EA Sports FC) where you buy booster packs that unlock players that you can use for a limited number of matches!
Yes you are paying real money for the chance to get a good consumable!

The thing I’m surprised about is that people got way less angry about the icon DLC.
