I was searching for its meaning and it means “Muslim Trebuchet”.
Since the Mongols gathered people with skills from the conquered civilisations, they used Muslim engineers from the Khwarezmian Empire to build the largest trebuchet.
One of the main reasons they needed it was to conquer the last and strongest fortress of the Song Dynasty (or last frontier Chinese Dynasty) was called “Xiangyang”. Conquering it meant the greatest honour for finishing their ancestor’s main conquest.
