Hunt update should only affect "deer like" animals

I was always wondering why make it possible to shoot animals that do not fight back [like deer] .. which mostly happens by mistake spoiling food for no reason

The new update in PUP prevents all hunt [including boar] from spoiling after being shot. This is too broad and affects an aspect of the game that has been there for 25 years

Shooting a hostile animal should always spoil, as the player is trying to prevent further damage to their units. If anything the update should only involve non hostile animals [either non spoil or just prevent shooting it altogether]

Holy shit they’re actually trying to kill the game at this point. Soooooo glad I dropped this crap with 3K

I don’t want the change but it’s not a game changer for me. It still doesn’t change the essence of aoe2. I think it will help those who are lower skilled players, play ranked and get Smurfed, and even in dark age they lose their boars and deer. Overall, this isn’t that big of a deal. Most people who this will actually impact are pros. Very rarely does the average player (600 -800 elo), lame or use the TC trick. Plus we also have to think about “what’s the downside” of this change. Are we really going to be like “Oh no, my skill at shooting a boar with my TC is useless” or “oh no I can’t decrease my opponents dark age food as well anymore”. It’s really unenjoyable to play against a lamer, even though I acknowledge it as a legit strat.
