I dont know if i ever seen such an incomplete civ as OTD in an RTS for the past 30 years

This civs design flaw is so painfully obvious that you can clearly see the devs spent enough time to make it functunally operable as a civ for the sultans ascend dlc then dropped it. I have tried in many ways to make this civ work and in every case its as if after the 12 min mark i am out of options aside from massing a ranged unit.

For one, the TC should be more powerful. If the villager is more expensive, this means that anytime one is garrison it is firing the same arrow as a cheaper villager, yet losing oh so much of the advantage - and OTD has nothing to cover for this. Its units are slow and clunky and no free prelate to heal up injured vils. A single lost villager before the 9 min mark is a gg.

I think maybe this was the last civ the whole team was working on before the rounds of layoffs/downsizing began. The visual quality is actually decent and better than the other variant civs that were added but then you can see they forgot half the civ, like the siege workshop doesnt follow the theme at all.

Lol, it’s not so bad, i dont think it’s the worse in 30 years, its pretty good already.

But I really like the idea of giving outpost and tc garrison arrow more damage since you need to put stronger units in

Also I would really like if the devs create at least a few unique landmarks for each variant. The Aachen Regnizt Swabia build is the exact same as hre.

When and if they rework JD, i hope JD will get new landmarks, but OOTD also really need their own.
