I’m worried about the auto scouting option on all the scout units, a feature that came with the last aprils patch.
It seems to me that this is a bonus for those players who open scouts in many ways, and in the meanwhile, it keep pushing an Scout opening meta.
For example, players that go for a scout rush/opening and manage to keep 2 or more scouts alive after an early feudal fight, they can send them to auto scout the whole map (way more easily and efficiently that shift clicking), while players who go for an archers opening won’t be able to do it with their units (should all units have an auto scout option? I hope not).
On the other hand, on late castle or imperial age, a couple of scouts on auto scout could constantly found villager that were sneaked out for getting resources out of the base, find sneaking military buildings or anything that may be goin on in another place that where the fight is being held.
Maybe there is something that I don’t know or I’m not taking into consideration. If this is the case I apologize and I would like to know other people’s opinions. But it seems to me that is a feature that was ok the way it was and it comes to solve a problem we didn’t have and now it in-balances the game.
