Mind-blowing to see someone talking about these with pride. Relic should receive a golden badge for “beating a lot of old games with an INCOMPLETE game!”.
BTW if you say that word about AOE4 here back in 2021 you might get arrested.
And comparing a new release to a remake of a 20 year old game with few improvements…
coh1 players never had the possibility of: having actions accumulated with shift, more than for a single action (movement), has broken strategies that until today they have not corrected, the tactical map does not allow to do much (compared to coh2) , it does not have a time display etc. and yet the 2k peak that it has had has never dropped until today; for some it may be a lesson in loyalty, in this niche, check it out if you like
CoH3 is the star product of Relic, his game. It’s shameful the decisions they’ve made and this culture of incomplete/half done paid games needs to be stopped sooner rather than later. Let’s see if consumers wake up.
ok thats is making an coh3 a laughstock material. imagine being as par with aom. No i dont referring to the good old aom but the one that messed up the balance with a broken dlc, messy servers that made a great bunch of player leave and the big reason why we have aomR in development and yet … aom ex still have more chances to have more players because the difference is only 100 players. Yeah it doesnt look good for coh 3 but that’s the truth.
Of course, I always gauge whether I’d buy the game or not from the reviews. Whether I would like it or not depends on me (fyi I do bought AoE 4, but it doesn’t live up to my expectations so I uninstall it).
they don’t even install the game. supposedly according to them, until their fanatical units are invincible, but instead if they are very active in our forums, no
Really? I thought they are all patiently waiting for some good news to slap on our face 10 years later?
Like “COH3 has more players than COH4 released 1 month ago!” or “COH4 will show player ids in our next exciting BIIIIIIG update!”
I mean, as someone who’s actually played Relic’s earlier games (I haven’t played either CoH much, but I have played both - I don’t have the time nor the money for 3 right now), nobody liked CoH 2 on release either, and “everyone went back to CoH”.
Not that this has much to do with AoE IV, but I guess some folks have to get their bashing quota in somehow!
I think the consensus should be “this is bad”. It was a bad practice for COH2, and also COH3, and also “the-game-who-should-not-be-named”, and any game. Whatever the status is now, it WAS a bad practice. It was bad when it was done. It should still be considered bad in retrospect after it has been fixed. It needs to be considered bad when someone does this again in the future.
Not something to be proud of. Not “the game is doing quite well with this or that lacking! It will become a decent game after 10 years of fixing! With that I prove all you haters wrong!”
But I guess some folks have to get their white knight quota in somehow!
you repost downvoted post from reddit. LOL
what do you expect?
You think 2d < 3d .
that’s it, but can not express themselves so the compare to some old DVD. I think everyone realise that aoe2 is old game without comparison
spep by step why logic wrong:
DVD & iphone5e - unsupported.
aoe2 - fully supported.
metaphore do not work if you do not understand the reasons you talking about.
Also it’s absolutly logical mistake to prove something via metaphore. It can illustrate, that aoe2 is old game, but that’s it.This would constitute a logical fallacy.
I think it’s an industry-wide problem that is very hard to solve because the people responsible are rarely, if ever, the people making the actual games themselves.
But I agree, this is bad. Games should have the time they need to release in the best state possible.
Snark attracts snark. Don’t be surprised when you cast it, that others see it
