Yeah, that looks very similar. Wonder if it’s inspired by that reconstruction.

The AoE3 one is so far in terms of realism, it could have been called anything else.

It’s really supposed to be an ostrog, a small wooden fort that was often the foundation of future russian towns. I guess the name was chosen because it’s the closest english (german really ^^) term resembling the concept.

Ah - today I learned!

Well, with that in mind, I wonder if the Devs could change its name? It’s a drop in the ocean compared to changing skins and would help with the immersion. Would also free-up ‘Blockhouse’ as something more universal, for everyone :wink:
