Last weekend I visited Sweden. Stockholm to be exactly. And look what I saw! A torp in real life! Looks insanely similar, right?

This is the content we needed on the forums.
That small stone in the path, used to be a gold mine
On the subject of seeing insert AoE3 building in real life:
I saw Japan’s Golden Pavillion in real life (earlier this year in April)
Interestingly it didn’t contain Professional Gunners nor Incendiary Grenades, due to it being a peaceful temple an’ all.
This is becoming a great thread!
I love seeing in-game buildings in real life, or like seeing real-life buildings translated well into a game. I’m a big fan of architecture, and especially enjoy seeing cabins in the middle of nowhere.
On a different note, this is your own picture, right? Is it okay if I add it to the wiki?
Did it give you resources tickle?
I see tipis on a regularly basis

Yes, it’s important to leave the real name here, other than the nickname :
Rokuon-ji (鹿苑寺)
(Often called Kinkaku-ji - Temple of the Golden Pavilion)
Here is the location for anyone interested.

I visited Stockholm earlier this year and saw the grass torps at Skansen too. And yes, after playing AoE3 they are very neat to see in person.
Edit: I would also recommend the Vasa Museum for anyone in the Skansen area. It houses one of the best preserved 17th century ship in the world and is well worth seeing in person.
In North America I think they also built Torps…
My own picture indeed. Yes, feel free to add it to the wiki!
The sweetest comparison!
Or… the Swedish comparison!
I saw a recreation of a blockhouse at least once a year back in my hometown, although it looks nothing like the version in AoE3.
It looks like that Fort building thing from the Fire campaign imo.
