Improve team game ranked!

The biggest problem I have found at my Elo is that team players randomly quit.

TLDR. Re-integrating ‘rage quit’ players buildings / resources / pop-limit to the remaining team players would provide balance and a chance for the team to win. The remaining team players would gain an ability to click on the player’s name (that has a strikethrough) and to play on their behalf. They can jump between their own civilization and the (resigned players civilization) when needed throughout the game.

Long version

Problem: Often when playing team ranked, a player in my team randomly ‘rage quits’ or resigns (at my Elo this is about 20%-30% of the time), even if our team has the higher score. This is a problem because it changes the game from 4v4 to 4v3, which is an almost impossible to win situation and not fun for the remaining 7 players.

Here’s how to do it:

Solution: Enable the players score name to be clicked on (see bottom right). Once clicked this will make you now control that civilization as if you were that player… To go back to your original civ you would simply click on your own player score name and it would go back to your own civ. Ultimately this will enable a team to control the missing players units and buildings and resources while simultaneously managing their own civ and economy, simply by clicking in and out of the missing players civ as the game plays on. Bonus benefit: The remaining 3 players could swap in and out of that extra civ as needed and could in theory all be controlling the missing civ at once which could be fun if that civ has e.g. good monks that need lots of micro… LOL
