iGPU GPU Memory leak

:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

In the start menu AoE consumes about 1GB of GPU memory. This remains steady and appears normal. Then after a game is loaded, GPU memory consumption will steadily climb.

My system has shared 32GB GPU memory (as it is a iGPU). So after about 10-15min of gameplay, the GPU Mem would have been filled.
This then appears to spill over to system memory (which I have 64GB of). At this stage the game is reduced to ~10fps. The ‘3D’ GPU utilization is also reduced to 30% where normally it being utilized near 100%.

Then once the leak has consumed all of the system memory a crash to desktop will occur.

This issue appears to be affecting iGPU players:

Futher details:
13900K, 64GB RAM (no discrete GPU)
Mods enabled or disabled, doesnt matter. 4K UHD texture pack is not installed.
Can play at 4K with reasonable framerates.

  • 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Play the game with in intel iGPU (the 13900k is a Intel UHD 770)

No crash to desktop, no memory leaks

(Cant be bothered recording as its quite uneventfull 15minutes)

This to me appears to be a classic mem leak  Not sure why only with iGPU’s though?

Hello @StockierVoice71
Indeed this is a memory leak as you says. We’ve encountered some problems with Intel GPUs lately, specifically with Intel Iris GPUs, it is a driver issue. I can only recommend you to rollback the drivers until you find a version that is stable.
