Incas are also access to eagle as Mayans,Aztecs, which is OP raiding unit in castle age.
Too much food bonus in early game make them delay farm and straight up to castle age and pump out eagle.
2 is good but 4 is excessive and dangerous.
Incas have an average win rate and already have a decent eco bonus in Houses that support double the population (that bonus is more than half as good as the only Hunnic eco bonus), so I see no reason for any of these changes.
Imagine being housed when the opponent deletes 2 houses if youâre trying to use the bonus to its fullest
Which is even more of a thing with the recent house armor nerf.
At a certain point, the bonus is worthless when youâre forced to build just as much as any other civ.
And as for huns, they carry free housing at 0% risk of losing that housing. and further, none of their walls need to contain houses which strengthens integrity and planning and cost reduction and build speed of said walling.
No-one else needs to put houses in walls technically. The Hun bonus actually makes walling harder and less efficient, which is good, because it encourages aggression, which is how the Huns should be played typically.
If I were to play huns, I would do so exactly how I utilize teutons, small camp walls+towers followed by solid stone walls in key parts if needed followed by a castle + a large boom with a solid amount of town centers followed by a swift raiding party in either mid-late castle or early imperial
Which is not how you are meant to play Huns. Just saying, they are totally geared towards aggression. Huns =/= Teutons
True, but the sooner they get to cav archers + knights or scouts the better their raiding potential - I mean sure, raid with a party of early scouts on top of the quick, easy small walls - and you have the best of both worlds while saving resources by not full walling.
Small walling is fine. Stone walling or towers? Not so much for Huns.
I mean, I hardly upgrade the towers beyond perhaps the blacksmith from time to time, works with every civ, even huns leading into castle age before mangonels.
Sicilians on the other hand⊠Gotta make extra room inside the walls for those larger towers, but it works for them too.
Goths may take a little more work due to the lack of stone walls, so when knights pop in the main deterrent is the infantry.
The main point of this - itâs allot easier to raid when the defense at home is 90% already done, and you just need to check in from time to time to garrison and to ungarrison with very few micro intensive defensive maneuvers which frees up more attention to an effective raid. @TheConqueror753
All that said, turks are scary - their scouts are as dangerous as knights to such defenses, so you will want some pikes if those come into play. Or a bunch of stone walls.
Incas need 1 thing: 2x2 farms. Small but relatively more effective farms.
I mean, it sounds cool. Would certainly be worth testing out, especially from a defensive standpoint.
How about no extra Llama but just something like this as a civ bonus:
Farm supports +5 population
Something that would be cool, although probably Op would be the free llama as a team bonus for Incas. So the entire team gets a free llama at the start.
I would start with 2, and see what happens.
But they really need something, the villager blacksmith bonus also sound really meh, and obviously the team bonus is a joke.
Maybe if the TB gave everyone a free llama, but it isnât affected by civ bonuses? So no extra food, faster gather rate etc.
That sounds nice, except that it would be very strong for a Chinese ally.
4 llamas sound a little OP.
I wonder how OP 2x2 farms would be, since a big part of villager gather rate from farms is walking time (and which why having no drop off requirement for Khmer farmers is such a big bonus).
Having Barracks technologies cost 33% less and be researched faster sounds cool, especially with Elite Eagles being kinda expensive to get to, though it doesnât sound as interesting as a farm bonus for Incas, Iâd still rather see some kind of a useful farming bonus (or trade bonus) considering their terrace farm history or trading network.
Farms producing more food when built on elevation however is so situational that having just more generic +food bonuses might just be better.
I also always thought itâd be nice if Incas got the old Couriers tech back (and could extend to trade units!), as a bonus or a tech with Andean sling becoming a standard bonus, as then the Eagles would be a little more unique than just a weaker version of Mayans eagles.
Old Incas Courier tech gives Eagles Warrior 10% faster. This bonus can be given as civ bonus. 4 llama is hard to control as scouting unit. 10% speed seems more logical for Incas considering their Eagles are by far worst Eagle among 3 Mesos.
Well, I wouldnât say theyâre âby farâ the worst. Theyâre the worst sure, but 10PA is still very scary and being faster is not going to make them that much better either.
Couriers giving X% faster movement speed to Eagles, Kamayuks, and Slingers would be a lot stronger though. Iâd even add âto trade unitsâ so thereâs a team-game bonus with them.
Weâll need to limit the speed bonus to eagles reaching the speed of husbandry knights and no faster, that in conjunction with the armor bonus would be great for incas.
