Inca nerf is justified, and this why

Not only a bit different. The same tournament sees aztec picked in pool 2 despite them beeing a very strong civ.
Teamgames just dont reward versatility, but specialization. Inca, a civ with many different options, can’t shine in 2v2 (unless for a lyx-style of play).

Incas are very versatile, but it’s not seen often due to their bias towards Tower Rushing. So overall, this nerf doesn’t hurt much competetively (where players know what strategies are viable and expected). However, the Bonus was mainly useful in Feudal Age, so now it seems almost completely removed. I don’t get why they didn’t go only the first step of the nerf and just changing it to “Villagers are affected by defensive upgrades in the Blacksmith”.
Additionally, if the civ is now touched, the devs could change the Team Bonus, maybe into instantly building farms or at least make it significant.

Farms and mill techs built and researched 100% faster would fix the complaint of the team bonus hurting build orders - instant farms would hurt even more
