So I think we can agree spears arent as good as they should be at doing their job.
And for the people that didnt know, when cavalry get stunned by a braced spearman, they actually end up outside of the spear’s melee range, so if you are standing ground, the spear men will not actually attack.
I suggest spears have an increased melee range to both increase their attack potential when massed, as well as to reduce the time it takes them to actually engage stunned cavalry.
We can already see from the Abbassids that increased melee range does not remotely make them OP.
