What about another non-cavalry civ, like the aztecs/incas/mayans, except based in India? Maybe also a unique unit that can go on land and water?
you mean they canât make cavalry or they have bad cavalry?
also, good uu idea
but it would either be a swimming unit
or a boat with wheels
I mean they donât have cavalry at all, like aztecs/mayans/incas. It would make sense if you split up Indians into several other civs, since different parts of India were at different stages of technological advancement compared to others, which would account for no-cavalry civilisations.
Yes, maybe a melee unit which can swim basically, so you donât need transport ships. Or even a melee unit which can swim and attack other ships at melee range. Like a swimming saboteur, something like that??? Like a melee unit which has its speed reduced in the water but does extra damage against buildings in the water, something like that idkâŠ
I have another idea for a unique technology.
Cultism: for every additional monk within âxâ distance of any other monk, conversion rate is increased by âyâ%.
This makes sense from an historical perspective since India religion/spirituality is way way older than other civilizations in both east and west and moreover there were (and are) several cults which favoured particular deities, so the idea of the more monks you have the more powerful they become, but not very strong individually above normal would fit with the idea of âcultsâ.
true, when i first heard the indians were a civ
sages, gods, temples
but they donât even have heresy!
a swimming unit makes sense for some type of canoe mantlet, can you elaborate on that idea?
lacking cavalry is something I wouldnât add, but feel free to make a concept!
Giving the Persians the central Asian architecture set has totally nothing to do with making them less islam. The conclusion does not make the sence.
Persians in the central Asian set still can represent Islamic Persia. Even Afghans is introduced, it will get the central Asian set. In the fact, the Tatars who is in the central Asian set also represent Islamic Turkic people like Uyghurs.
k, u make a point
wouldnât afghans have middle eastern?
You can check the Afghan buildings in the real world.
i was wondering since the majority might look different than the displayed
Indians in the game, the way they are designed(with camel specific bonuses) seem to be covering Rajputs only and to some extent other north western indian civs as well, what about the rest of the civs? You can see how many in the map.
There is really nothing for:
East India (Bengali/Oriya/Assamese) and Dravidians (Tamil/Kannada/Telugu)
one civ each from the 2 regions will be really nice.
Yeah I see you are right. However, the logo they have in game in the UI is the Mughal flag, is it not? So the devs really made little mistakes here, but I think you are right, the Mughals were relevant much later than the timeline of the game.
No more new civs please.
New civs please. For me at least
True that. People will ask for new civs but keep on playing with Franks , Huns or Britons. 11
Maybe you but I switch all the time. Some more civs to pick from is always nice to me. In the ranked mode, people will naturally pick the civs which are the strongest and which they are the most familiar with. Thatâs more an issue with time and balance.
There are definitely a few people who would like to see new civs:
More civis are for single player base, competitive players would be happy with just 10 civis.
No buddy I play mirror. My enemies mostly pick from these 3.
Regardless of how many civilizations you add in the game People will only stick to what they are comfortable withâŠ
Still a great argument for more civs, since the majority of the playerbase is not Multiplayer oriented.
I support more civs, 40 total seems like a nice cap. I think there needs to be a cap, but i feel like thereâs atleast a little more room. Iâd love to see 2 additional Indian civs putting us at 37, then maybe one final expansion of 3 more civs in a couple years.
