Information bar, cannot cherry pick a hero from it

Issue: when you drag select an army, you cannot pic the unit you want out of the information bar at the bottom of the screen

Repro Steps: box the army and try and pic out your hero for easy select. Doesn’t work. Legacy game worked fine.

I don’t understand what you mean, is it this pane? The select of hero or any unit works just fine from here.

Too much work. You should be able to click the unit in the window and control it from there like the legacy. Once again, kids think they are evolutionary better. Fix it please.

Right, this might not be your preference but this is not a bug.

The implementation with modifier keys is also how it works in many (all that I’ve played) modern strategy games, so it’s safe to say it’s not going anywhere.

Don’t think you understand. if I want to pick one hero out of a unit of 30, I should be able to box the whole unit and pick the hero from the boxed unit description. Then direct that unit somewhere else on the map. You’re not the only person to play games btw. Outdated or not.

Just have the pharaoh in a control group, like people did in legacy. Or use the pharaoh hotkeys, like people do on retold. Theres methods for all.

Swap pharaoh for any hero and it works as well

I just want to box the whole army and pic the pharaoh out. You can highlight him in the info box, that doesn’t control him though. Should be easy enough to fix in 2026.

Its not a fix to anything, its not bugged or broken. Be it 2000 or 2090 doesnt make neccessary changes

That’s your opinion, I have mine. You should be able to box a mixed army and pick out 1 unique model out of the list and direct it to move out of the group all from the information screen.

Dude, this already works you can get EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT, you just refuse to use the functionality. You have also been given alternatives. Sure we can have differing opinions on what we prefer, but THIS IS NOT A BUG.

This could be in the discussions section, not in the bug report section. A bug means that something is not working as the developer intended, which is not the case here.
