I had some horrible issues when playing the other day (screen went dark, random error messages, computer screen flickering, eventaul crash). Thought it best to reinstall the game, however when i go to uninstall the game it doesn’t work and i get an error code of 0x80073cfa. I’ve tried a few things: resetting windows store, clearing cache, updating windows, but nothing seems to work.
I’m on Windows10, i’ve had the game installed for many years and had no issues, only recently. I think the last time i played was about 2 months ago and everything was fine then.
Oddly i managed to uninstall SOME of the DLC but not all as the others give the same error code.
I also tried installing it to a different drive but the it wont install due to same error code.
Also worthing noting i have Aoe 1, 3 and 4 as well which all work fine (from what i’ve noticed). I can uninstall/install them fine, it’s just 2 which seems to be the issue (ofc the one i play the most!)
Anyone any ideas or advice? Driving me crazy…
