Is a tower rush even viable as the Georgians?

Back when I was devising my own Georgians civ, I pictured them as a powerful tower rush civilization, as I personally enjoy that sort of playstyle. To accomplish this, I gave them the old Korean bonus, but weaker, at only +1 range. This was in addition to a Svan Towers tech in Castle Age halving their cost, making them worthwhile throughout the game.

Given the devs seem to really discourage tower rushing (the current zeitgeist against the strategy probably has something to do with it), I figured it was practically guaranteed they wouldn’t go in the same direction for the official design as I did for my own, and I was right. It seems the only vaguely tower-related bonuses in the Feudal Age that could assist with a rush are taking less damage on a hill and costing less to repair. These are both situational bonuses, especially the first one, making tower rushing not especially good for the Georgians.

So, is tower rushing viable for them, or is this just wishful thinking on my part?

if your opponent builds a tower to counter yours, the cheaper repair cost will be useful

Good point, and if you can find even a small hill to place yours on (not too big of an ask for maps like Arabia, especially near a woodline), that’d help even more.

as 18 pop no loom is viable with Georgians now, I could see this being a thing possibly
