Serious question.
My computer is on fire every time I’m in the game menu just like when I’m mining cryptos. And when I’m ingame it goes silent again.
What’s wrong with this game menu?

I do believe that the game still bugs out like that if you check the Masteries Menu, causing a lot of lag that can only be fixed with a restart of the game.

Masteries menu at least drastically reduces the GPU usage to minimum as it should be. The fact is that this is by the cost of maxing out one CPU thread to 100%.

No.
There was a longstanding issue with the Masteries menu, but there should be some improvement coming with the Spring Update.
