Is that a hint that they fixed siege towers?

Seems like they fixed siege towers. They were bugged since the wall patch that changed how door works, since you couldn’t go down from enemy walls.

Well, I’m hopeful about the patch notes. Let’s see.

I wouldn’t count on it. Maybe they changed the gate behavior though.

The thing is, even if they did siege towers will still be useless. As long as a ram can kill a stone wall in a few hits there is no reason to bother with siege towers anyway.

That’s not an excuse to have a bugged unit in the game.
You could still use it to troll or try to go in sneakily. Or in more casual games.

Yeah. The siege tower isn’t bugged though.

When they made gates non-directional, units could no longer use the backside of enemy gates to walk down.

They should change that, probably so that any units can go down any gate.

They need to do a lot than that though for siege towers to matter.

The issue with having siege towers in a game when walls fall in seconds via other siege units makes them pointless. To be honest, unless defensive structures like stone walls and towers are strengthened to promote battles atop walls, I see no reason for siege towers to exist as units in the game.

I would personally prefer them to keep siege towers and make stone walls stronger, but I know that is not going to happen anytime soon.

Yes, but a surprise and silent attack can be interesting. Especially in the age of castles.
