I’d like to know what everyone thinks about the current situation of the game and the forum, so I’m asking…
- Yes.
- No.
- Maybe.
- I think the forum is dead.
I’d like to know what everyone thinks about the current situation of the game and the forum, so I’m asking…
The game, despite everything that’s happened, remains the same as always. The only problem is that, of course, it’s going to be very difficult to add more players in the future, but I think everything will remain stagnant.
The forum, yes, is becoming more inactive over time. But that’s because the forums aren’t very popular; the Discord server is very active.
MS and WE tried to kill it, or are killing it, but the community still keeps the game alive.
And it will remain that way like in the WoL days. We will not give up.
I agree, but I would also add that the forum has lost its reason for existing. Regarding Discord, it’s just a matter of time before the same thing happens to it as to the forum.
The game is holding steady at around 5,000 to 6,000 players, but given the general mood I wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts.
In my opinion, the game will never die, but the forum has lost its purpose, its role has already been fulfilled, and unfortunately, no one is going to fix the bugs or imbalances in the game anymore.
Game is not dead, just abandoned.
Is this good or bad?
I have to restart after every game because the RAM isn’t cleared.
The artillery is extremely clumsy, with a few exceptions.
Frequent synchronization errors.
ETC.
Considering that the company doesn’t want anyone to play it, it’s not bad.
Many of the users who gave the forum more life were banned for stupid reasons, so it’s a funny question.
Having done enough team random queues, I can at least say some players might be legally and cognitively dead.
Along with the 12% that mains Botto.
Game is dead! Why are you sure that No? Hope to the updates continue are no = Game is live.
It only dies once people stop playing it.
True, but you can always talk about something on the forums…
Of course, and even if the servers stop working, you can always download mods and play in skirmish… for example, recently the trending topic StopKillingGames became popular, but companies like EA continue to close NFS and BFs servers, from the 8th generation (now they closed the NFS Rivals servers and next year Anthem and BF4)…
It’s something and that’s it.
I know people who have these issues, but most (including me) don’t have any problems playing, other than the usual bugs (which the entire series has, by the way).
You’re wrong, if they wanted it to be unplayable they would pull it from the store and take down the servers, like they did with the original.
In all honesty, only 3-4 guys were banned, and I personally believe only one was for stupid reasons (but hey, let’s avoid that). My point is, 3-4 guys aren’t enough to take up all the forum activity.
The only purpose to engage in an official forum is that the devs may see what we’re discussing.
WE had completely ruined that purpose by not even reading bug reports.
The engagement for other forums had died out too.
I’ve said it before when idiots were praising the acquisition of Activision by MS. MS is THE shittiest publisher out there and it’s always has been this way apart from the couple of years of success they had in the 360 era. They are incapable of managing IPs that are money printing machines by default like Halo, Gears of War, Forza or even Age of Empires, whatever MS touches turns to shit eventually. If anything I’m surprised we had such a good run, I would have never thought Age III would get a remaster at all but it happened, but here we are and MS is basically destroying Xbox as a whole because they bet 80 billion on AI.
It has been abandoned. Years (yes, years!) before, I listed a lot of incompleteness in translations, most of them due to the latest campaign rework… they’re so evident but they’re still there, and some of them are so simple to fix (for example the title screens, they are simple images to replace).
I’m not sure if this is actually what’s happening, so I don’t want to mislead anyone. I just know that information from previous games doesn’t seem to be erased and can corrupt future games.
I don’t know if @vividlyplain knows anything.
Yes, at Microsoft they are lazy… they only buy companies and with that they hope that they will give them a disgustingly large amount of money (more than they already have) and with that they can beat Sony… Bill Gates already said it in the Simpsons: “I did not become a millionaire by writing checks, but only by paying, destroying and buying the competition, the press and the influencers”…
Yes, and I would say in 2022 after the release of KotM…
All I know is that there is in no way a memory leak. The game is 100% working properly with no bugs. Nuh uh, no way is it the case that you have to restart the game regularly to avoid issues such as game crashes, sticky RNG, sound bug, or anything else falsely claimed on these forums and discord.
