Is there a way to create a separate map out of one you already saved, and after both are finished being able to publish them both? If anyone knows how to, I would love to know. Thanks, in advanced.
As an example, if it helps, I have a forest nothing map made and published its 3 different generated forests on top of each other. I like how it is but wish to make a variant of it with trading posts. I know how to do that but don’t want to do the process from scratch if possible.
Hey mate. I dont want to state the obvious but no one has replied here so let me tell you that for me copy and paste works just fine.
What also works (I just did it), save the new map under a different name. If you want to keep the files separated you could just go into my documents (copy and paste) and remove the parts of the old map from the new one and vice versa. Only keep what you want to keep.
If its about publishing, I cant say for sure since I never do that. You could most likely manually rename the copied .aoe4mod file if that is the problem.
What is the name of your map?. Im looking for a forest nothing map to build another interesting game on. My own map of europe starts to become boring and Im a bit too lazy to start from scratch too.
Thanks! I haven’t tried that yet. That will work. I messed up a map using save as and got worried it would happen with every map. The map is called triple forest. I have a tuning pack that goes with it. It is a 4 player map. It’s Called: 4p FN 35 Triple Forest
It needs a tuning pack to reduce the woods on top of the normal fn stuff. I have one called: 25 wood trees market in dark age. With this tuning pack the games has been for me and my friends in the 2-3 hour range.
Thanks too. Tho that map is waayy too many trees for me. I see what you did tho. Ive loaded it in my editor. I just prefer trees to be more sparse like have some space inbetween them. In return in my own TP trees have not 25 but 1500 wood.
