Is this considered cheating?

The current #1 player on the team leader board, dsc.gg/hotp Everything Aoe3, has climbed the team leader board very quickly. You can see he’s been queueing with this player, Ashawaqanda.

Ashawaganda is currently 872 elo in team while being 1807 elo in 1v1 with a max 1v1 elo of 1960.

Its clear that Ashawaganda has artificially lowered his rank by throwing games or resigning quickly in team so that his low elo would allow dsc.gg/hotp Everything Aoe3 to gain elo very quickly. This is very similar to point trading and wonder if it’s allowed or would be considered cheating.

This is absolutely cheating. Revnak is getting a buddy to take dives on the team ladder so that they can partner up and get easy wins, artificially pushing him to #1 team player. Unfortunately this type of behavior doesn’t tend to get punished though.

You could report it, unlikely to achieve anything though.

Sadly powers that be appear indifferent to this type of behavior. Its been a common thing through DE where people smurf boost in team queues for fake elo or ego.

The worst part isnt how much elo is gained as anyone with a brain knows team elo is touch and go and not to be taken too seriously, but imagine running into revnak and jailed and still loosing -20. Extremely demotivating and until FE or WE take action against obvious cases will be simply a reminder why most team players stick to lobbies and in house events to have a good time.
