I have been playing with the letter B as a shortcut for “building” but also for the houses, to press B, B and make a house. Now for some reason when I do that, it doesn’t trigger the house. It worked just fine before, and all the other shortcuts still work. Also a friend of mine who uses Q, Q for houses doesn’t have that problem. It is only with the letter B.
How can I fix that? I dont want to change the shortcut since it is comfortable and I was used to that one

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Put the villager build shortcut of the house on the letter B
  2. Also have unit shortcut “build” set to B
  3. Play a game and try to make houses pressing B and then B again.

:point_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?

Nothing happens, as if the shortcut isnt assigned (that means the ghost house does not appear on my cursor). I can still build houses if I use only the mouse, and all the other buildings shortcuts work, but not that one.

I had similar issue with build barrack which was B and I couldn’t build it either. However the reason why I couldn’t make it is because game made also B cancel hotkey. Change that and everything will work just as before.

Ah good to hear I am not the only one with this problem. The thing is all the nearby letters are taken now, and the house is an important building. In order to change that shortcut I need to move around the other buildings as well, and learn the new system. If they don’t fix it quickly I will have to, I guess, but I hope they see it soon.

try resetting the hotkey to default, it fixes some of the issue for me

change the new “cancel” hotkey, not your house hotkey.

We’re tracking some issues with hotkeys, I recommend you do as @thieftdp8498 said and reset the hotkeys to default and then set up them again. Sorry for the inconveniences.

Oh there is a new cancel hotkey? That must solve the issue thank you!

That was it! Thank you. There was a new hotkey “Cancel” taking the letter B. I leave this here in case anyone stumbles with the same issue.
