It does not matter what the new DLC is

Because I am boycotting until you remove the 3 Kingdoms civs from ranked.

I also still haven’t bought the 3K and refuse to.

I’m boycotting DE altogether. I went back to HD. Back to the days they didn’t lie to us, and civ inclusions were thematically appropriate

I will not boycott if its the Chronicles DLC, as I want the single player content DLC to have success.

Hasn’t been a DLC worth buying since Mountain Royals.

I’ll support it if only the managers at WE were the ones laid off, not the level designers at Capture Age.

Because I firmly believe at the current stage this would be the last Chronicle quality DLC and the money will only fund more and more s**t in the future

They just fired the level designers who made Chronicles. Even though it’s going to be Chronicles 2: Alexander the Great, you shouldn’t buy it on principle. Don’t support a studio that fires its employees after they finish the work.

The current management is a hype killer, no rational reasons and needs to get hyped at all at the new dlc

True, I’m not touching this until:

  1. They put 3 Kingdoms in Chronicles
  2. They add Tanguts
  3. They add appropriate languages for Jurchens and Khitans

So good chance, I never touch the game again.

I can’t go back to HD, not after getting used to all the quality-of-life features from DE.

It never was XD, there is huns, goths and romans civ XD. Just take it as a super dlc, with what it is. A really good job, and amazing campain!

Huns, Goths, and roman cities and armies existed after the fall of Rome.

Like it or not, 3K sucks. The campaign is incomplete. It ends at the battle of red cliffs; before the involved factions even properly existed. They were just warlords and their armies at that point.

Do you call not bothering to finish the civs and copy-pasting the final level 3 times “a good job”?

Can I have WW2 civs on ranked too? That would be more than 6 civs suuuuuuper DLC and amazing.

Yes, in the long run they will make us return to HD…

Yes, no more, no less…

They’ll probably do that when they add the Jurchen and Khitan campaigns…

Neither do I…HD feels like the classic AoE 2 from 1999, DE at least feels like AoE 2 came out in 2006 (not to mention that it’s smoother and has more people playing it, I haven’t touched HD since 2020 or so and I’ve already put like 2000 hours into DE)…

I refunded V&V and haven’t bought anything since.

Things they need to do before I consider buying one again:
-fix and increase the content of V&V to justify the price or reduce the price to 2-3 EUR
-remove 3K civs from ranked (preferably I’d like a “classic civs game mode”, where it’s only pre DE, or vanilla DE civs) and add campaigns for jurchens, khitans and chinese (maybe also koreans and japanese)
-actually fix pathing
-improve their communication with the community

Also I’d like to see at least one of the following:
-expansion of lobby sizes. No reason we can’t play 5v5, 10 player FFA or even bigger games
-improved lobbies
-improved ingame stats. why do we need to purchase an add-on in the form of capture age??
-improved quality of life features (look at aoe3 which has so many better options for UI layout, colour customization etc)

of the last 4 DLCs 3 have “mixed” or worse rating on steam. the powers that be need to realize shit is on fire

This is the worst DLC ever. Out of respect for the legacy of the game, I’ve decided not to purchase it.

Yeah, if you don’t care about achievements, it’s not even worth buying VaV except for the 5 new scenarios… I played through all the modded scenarios and god, how long and boring they are…

add “fix translations” to the list of things that need to be done
