JD just constantly dying instantly in pro game is kinda cringe and it’s confusing the viewer, what’s this hero unit casters are hyped about and then it dies again and again.
If devs made a Hero civ they should Stick to it
- Bring back JD health levels to original(how it was when people used to complain about it)
- Now make JD gain xp every death of enemy in range(as usual)
- Make JD lose xp every own unit death without JD present
This will make the civ that always fight with the hero and raid with the hero.
They should overhaul the entire civ not only rollback to OG OP levels
The issue with JD is neither about being weak nor OP; it’s a disaster caused by flawed original design.
The Hero’s level is tied too closely to the civ’s strength, making them dominant in the Feudal Age. This combat prowess ultimately forced the Devs to heavily nerf JD’s economy.
This leads to a distorted dynamic in matches: one side desperately seeks combat, while the other tries to avoid it at all costs. Obviously, this isn’t a healthy state for the game.
Therefore, JD needs a rework — for example, decoupling the Hero’s level from the civ’s overall strength, or redesigning their units to play completely differently from the French.
