Jeanne D'Arc should not be added. The direction AoE is going in is bad

Alright thank you for filling me in! I have been a little confused! Thanks again!

The exaggeration of these claims is escalating to another level…

but he does have a point, also funny you point exaggeration out, being quite ā€œfamiliarā€ with it yourself

I expected at least 2 more campaigns (for Ottomans and Delhi)…the variant civs is to say ā€œhey, we put 6 civs in the dlc, which is not the case, because they would only be like AoE 3 revolutionsā€ā€¦

It wouldn’t be so unique either, it would be like playing with the heroes from AoE 3, but with more abilities to use… but yes, at least they are no longer stuck in the gameplay of AoE 2 and they start experimenting with new things… it’s the correct path to advance the saga…

We’ll see…hopefully it’s as good as they say…the game needs to be revitalized…

Yes, I agree… also it is not something that cannot be changed later…

Yes, that’s what inflates the hype a lot…imagine that when they announced AoE 4 in 2017 I was very hyped about fighting in the world wars and seeing that they returned to the Middle Ages again, my hype was destroyed…

Good point…

Yes, that’s why using heroes in multiplayer is nothing new, AoM has already done it since 2002…

The thing is that AoE has been an RPG since 2005 (with AoEO it was even more so)…

Of course, in addition to the campaigns of the latest AoE 2 dlcs, the heroes increase their damage the more you use them in battle (Algirdas, Jadwiga, Devapala, Babur, Sargon and I could go on)…

You can kill him with heavy infantry…you just have to try not to let them get too close to your base…

Maybe it looks more like the first ones than the last…

Well they want to make it more MOBA…we have to accept that the classic RTS are no longer so fun for the new generations…me and my second-cousin play AoE, but my brother and my younger cousin play LoL (although my brother I made him try AoE before installing LoL)…

Yes, but the issue is that they cannot live off the gameplay of AoE 2 all the time (the idea is to advance the saga)… the devs want AoE 4 to be played by both classic RTS players (pre-WC3) like modern RTS (post-WC3 and SC2)… they also have to maintain a certain coherence of gameplay and evolution in the saga…

Exactly, I couldn’t have said it better…

In other words, like their AoE 3 counterparts with the daymios and shogun…

That’s true…they don’t even respect the name of civilizations…they are simply heroes and military orders…now it’s Age of EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF…

Zhu Xi did exist…was a Chinese calligrapher, historian, philosopher, poet, and politician during the Song dynasty. Zhu was influential in the development of Neo-Confucianism. He contributed greatly to Chinese philosophy and fundamentally reshaped the Chinese worldview.

The ā€œSaladinā€ civ is coming xd…

For it to be a MOBA, it would require a lot more and it had nothing to do with my comment. Having one hero unit among 200 other units doesn’t make it a MOBA.

True, the same was just saying…obviously AoE 4 will not become a MOBA because you have one hero among 200 units and also that there is base construction, which MOBAS do not have…

For me the Hero is okay, but Joan of Ark is a civilization, and a hero that attacks is completely fictional.
Joan was never a king, Emir, Sultan, Khan, or emperor and she never fought in any battle, she never killed anyone. She was just an inspirational tool for the King to get his crown.
She really doesn’t deserve any of this.
She is just a pure propaganda.

Any large corporation like Sega and Microsoft know you do some market research before you build a dumpster fire in order to avoid losing player base… they assumed and now they don’t want to rename it because they have no budget to replace the civ.

Nah, ā€œcontent creatorsā€ get paid to promote the game. Everyone knows this sucks, from the recycled content to the hero based gameplay to the awful civ names. They should just turn this junk into campaigns and make actual new civs.
