This is a very enjoyable campaign. The playing rules for player 2 still seems a bit restrictive at times, I wish he would get to play a bit more normally, but other than that I enjoy it.
I hope part 3 of this campaign will also be adapted.
The part 3 will be released soon, I am finalizing the last mission at this moment.
Probably within the next 2 days.
Excellent news, I’m looking forward to it! I hope you will keep adapting good custom campaigns to coop going forward, so far all your releases have been excellent.
Im happy you like my work so far, solo campaigns are a pain to port them in co-op but I am also happy that there are people who enjoy them.
After I release the final part, I will rework the Charles Martel one (which seems a lot of people liked it alot), fixing some things and adding voices.
And no, this ruleset for P2 will never be seen again, it was only for this specific campaign and it was really a lot of work to fix it each mission xD. I tried a different approach in part 3, giving the ability for P2 to create a few villagers, building a few specific fortifications and be able to collect resources.
Hopefully this might add some interest to P2.
I just saw the upload, thank you very much! Should be great with a few more options for P2. I agree that Charles Martel was one of the best I’ve played at 9 scenarios, very enjoyable. I hope you will find the time to convert other good campaigns as well. After you did Apranik I was curious of Mihira Bhoja by the same author would be in the cards, that one is also very good.
In any case I will finish the Caesar campaign with my friend soon and will give any feedback I find!
Mihira Bhoja, hmm, I should give a look at it. Yeah, Apranik was a nightmare but AMAZING campaign, and a personal goal to convert it, and I was glad I did. Haha.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will definitely give Mihira Bhoja a look.
Indeed, Apranik is amazing and the coop conversion worked well! THank you for considering Mihira Bhoja, I hope to see it finished. There are also many more interesting scenarios from Filthydelphia, although for some of them it defies belief how they could be coop-ified (such s Valhalla’s Edge), but the ones you’d id work well.
I want to thank you for creating these conversions. Coop campaigns are an extremely underrated part of AoE, and doesn’t generate much interest compared to full singpleplayer campaigns, but at this point they are the main way me and my friend experiences the games,a nd your conversions are among the best we’ve tried (and the only ones regularly coming out, so its very appreciated!)
