As Jurchens, with the civ bonus “meat of hunted and livestock animals doesnt decay”..
On Arabia when I shoot all the chickens (or deer) down with a villager, some are decaying, others not.
(If i restart the same map generation I get different results, sometimes 2 chickens decay and 4 dont, sometimes 4 decay and 2 dont, seems to be random.)

REPRODUCTION STEPS
List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!
Attach a SAVE GAME (.aoe2spgame) or GAME RECORDING (.aoe2record) of the match where you encountered the issue. Link it below if using an external file service.
I´ve been traying to repro this issue with Jurchens, but all animals hunted by villagers are not decaying on my end. Could you share a Rec where this issue is happening?
Thanks for the Rec, I can see the deer decaying… Do you have any mod activated that highlight deers or something related to it? With the same set up, I can´t repro it on my end.
If you are using any mod… Please, could disactivated it, restart the game and try to repro the issue?
I disabled all mods, closed the game down, uninstalled the game, exited steam and shut down my Laptop. Turned Laptop on, Reopened steam, installed the game and have no mods enabled.
The issue persists.
Im going to play around with some of the new ingame settings to see if it changes anything
I managed to make my chickens decay as the Jurchens by doing the following. When the villager fires the arrow, change target (or click off of the chicken) before the arrow lands and the chicken dies. I guess what the game is doing is checking what is targetting the chicken once the chicken has reached its dead state. If the targetting unit is a Jurchens Civ unit then it overrides decay. And ofcourse if there is no targetting unit then it resorts to default decay mode.
To iterate on the otherside, in order to get non decaying chickens, you must fire the arrow and then leave the villager interacting with the chicken until the chicken has officially died. (the villager approaches intending to gather the food).
The issue becomes real when trying to optimize your time. If you want to kill all the chickens quickly you necessarily miss a bunch of checks and your hunt starts decaying.
p.s. I ran into this issue when trying to figure out a way to leverage the Jurchens Civ bonus in creative ways. Its not gamebreaking in that respect, just slightly pesky.
Interested to hear your thoughts, whether you agree with my analysis etc and/or can manage to reproduce this yourself.
The ability of Jurchens is restricted to villagers, so TC, or any building shouldn´t apply the no decay ability. However, if the kill was made with the TC, as soon as a villagers gather food from the animal, this should stop decaying.
