[Just for fun] God power and Mythic Unit concepts thread

Inspired by this thread. I think its AOM needs its own thread as it has its own way of expanding game ideas. I’ll start with one.

  • Mythic Age God power: Time Reversal: After invoking godpower, a player can rewind 1:30 second of game time.Due to deterministic nature of RTS, its possible to invoke such god power. The simulation that AOM runs on can rewind game states since CaptureAge is built in now. RTS multiplayer basically sync game input only in real time across machines. As a result pausing is possible between players. Even recorded games are basically playing the with recorded player inputs. In theory it should be possible to make such thing.
  • Archaic Age God Power: Gigantification: Increases the size of its target. Can be used on your own units (villagers, soldiers, Myth units) or on animals. enlarged the target, it gets twice as much HP, increases attack power and increases speed. Animals get twice as much food

  • Archaic Age God Power: Banquet: Drops a pile of food that villagers can collect. More with each age

  • Classical Age God Power: Mystification (transformation): Transforms a human soldier into a random Myth unit from the pantheon (of the Current Age)

  • Classical Age God Power: resurrection: Resurrects a unit thats ( As long the Body is still there) unit with full HP.

  • Classical Age God Power: you shall not pass: Drop a large boulder on the ground, dealing aoe damage on impact. Units standing directly under the boulder die immediately. The boulder remains as an obstacle but can be destroyed.

  • Classical Age God Power: Splitting: Splits a forest, mountain, river and creates a permanent path which units can walk over. On Rivers ships can still drive over it. Can also be used to bridge cliffs with impassable terrain. Up and down.

  • Herorc Age God Power: Gust of Wind: Creates a strong gust of wind that catches opponents and carries them away. If they hit an object (building, forest, other units) they are stunned for a while. If they fall off a cliff, they take massive damage (fall until they can stand again) and are stunned. If they fall into the water, they are drowned / die immediately. The same for ships if they are pushed onto land

  • Mythic Age God Power: Burning Land: Ignites a fire on a large area. All enemy units take fire damage over time. Buildings start to burn and also lose HP. Units on burning fields take twice as much damage. Also harms quartered units in buildings that are on fire. Overall, it does more damage to units than to buildings
