If you don’t have “Knights of the Mediterranean” dlc - you can complete Milan Challenge only in multiplayer with player who has this dlc.

  1. Other player (Host) who has this dlc, creates multiplayer historical map in AoE3:DE (The Italian Wars for example).
  2. You activate Milan Challenge in Knights of the Mediterranean Event, and select multiplayer variant.
  3. In multiplayer games list you need to find host’s game (from 1st step) and enter in battle.
  4. Wait 10 min in battle.
  5. Profit!

Quite frustrating … I actually had WON the challenge in Single Player Mode, 2 days ago (according to the note on the upper right-hand of the screen) - but did not RESIGN . I played the game through.
Now, i wish I had resigned & would have had it “under my belt”
I don’t DO multiplayer & haven’t purchased KotM (yet) .
Oh, well …
