Known Issue: Translation & Localization (Portuguese-Brazil Language - Língua Português-Brasil)

We are aware that there may be issues related to translation or localization of the game. Please consolidate all reports regarding the Portuguese-Brazil language in this thread. Please include the following information:

  • Build number
  • Platform (Steam or Microsoft Store)
  • Location of text (Is it in a game menu, lobby, etc? Is it in a campaign, if so, which mission and what triggers the text?)
  • A screenshot of the issue
  • Description of what was mistranslated and a suggestion for replacement.

Please be aware that Developers and AOE Staff commenting on this thread may not know the language, and are utilizing translation software to understand what is being reported, so that it can be properly documented and passed to the Localization team.

Estamos cientes de que pode haver problemas relacionados à tradução ou localização do jogo. Consolide todos os relatórios sobre o idioma Português-Brasil neste tópico. Inclua as seguintes informações:

  • Número da compilação
  • Plataforma (Steam ou Microsoft Store)
  • Localização do texto (está em um menu de jogo, lobby etc.). Em uma campanha, em caso afirmativo, qual missão e o que aciona o texto?)
  • Uma captura de tela do problema
  • Descrição do que foi traduzido incorretamente e sugestão de substituição.

Esteja ciente de que os desenvolvedores e a equipe da AOE que estão comentando sobre este tópico podem não conhecer o idioma e estão utilizando um software de tradução para entender o que está sendo relatado, para que ele possa ser devidamente documentado e transmitido à equipe de localização.

Missing Translated Taunt Version

Game Version: 101.101.32911.0 4395365
Platform: Steam

Taunt 26 is missing a portuguese voice version. Note that this taunt isn’t a “generic language independent” taunt such as Taunt 11 (laugh) or Taunt 30 (Wololo)

The benchmark score result message lacks portuguese text translation. Most of the text still in english.aoe%202%20bench%2022-11

Game Version:

Issue:

After finishing a benchmark with the game at Potuguese-Brazil language setting the score box shows up like this:

The box only have the text “Pontos” (score), with the actual score not showing up.

As a note, I’m going to close out this thread now that we have everything written-up, but PLEASE do not let that stop you from submitting translation issues here in the bug category! Be sure to include the following information if you continue to see issues in the game that were not listed here:

  • The build number
  • The place where the issue can be found in-game
  • The text line (or “string”) in question
  • The English string (if possible)
  • The suggested change
