LAN needs to be available OFFLINE, otherwise it's POINTLESS!

My wife and I both bought AOE3DE to play together. Our internet is very bad where we live, so we decided to hook everything up so we could play a LAN game in our room together, Laptop to PC. We tried playing a LAN game three times, and each time, one or both of us got kicked out of the game when the internet stuttered, which is infuriating.

On top of that, we don’t even get to keep XP when we get dropped from the game. We only tried a LAN game because our internet is so spotty we could never finish a normal online match before one of drops because the internet sputtered for a moment.

Now, what I ask, is the point of a LAN option, if you still require internet? It’s pointless, and it’s infuriating that my wife and I are not allowed to play this game together. LAN should be allowed offline. That’s the whole point of LAN games.

I enjoyed this game enough to get some of the DLC even, but it is so infuriating that I’m not able to use LAN offline that I made an account on this forum.

In the multiplayer menu theres a toggle between online and LAN in the top right corner iirc

Why would I make that up, also you could have just looked it up?
As TN0N said, the option is there, but it’s pointless since it still requires internet.

I support this, I also stumbled multiple times across this issue.
