Civ flags , and UI panels are a huge difference in terms of coding ^^
No you can’t change the UI by civ. The only thing you could change is by add-on.
So vanilla, natives , or Asians. But even then you are limited to these 3.

This was done in the old AoM, the engine is supports it’s!. Please, see how it looks in AoMR.
played with code for DE UI plenty, so no its not impossible, just gotta be creative with execution of it
I hope at least one of you is right!
Probably not, considering flag mods should be compatible already and there isn’t a standard flag mod to revert them back.
It’ll be a while until I get there, but at some point I hopefully will!
It is 100% not possible in the old aoe3, and there for also not avaible in 3DE.
Very nice indeed!
A wonderful project
This content is definitely S tier
AoE III for the win!
They were terrible. I don’t want them to come back.
New Lakota flag are terrible!!!
There are multyplayrr compatible mods that do that, one for each flag.
That’s a shame. Of all the AoE games (excluding AoEO), AoE3 is the only one that doesn’t change the UI based on civ/culture.
I have good news @RafaSheep, after going back and forth with @KG19991380 and @DrMaxy4142 it looks like we’ve figured it out - at least for culture groups and most of the in-game UI. There’s still a lot of work to be done, but perhaps I can tease a few WiP panels:
to be clear, these are per culture not per civ, but still better than default imo
Is there any chance this will be made official?
I want a subtle change to the interface, which is to have the workers in the square appear before the inactive villager in the part of the interface where the resources are counted, and how many workers are assigned to each resource.
so if i’m reading correctly, you want to swap the 11 and 22 on example above?
have them display the other way around?
or just to move the vill counter to the very bottom and 5th resource for civs that have em above it?
In short, inactive villager should be last. For me it’s a bit confusing.
ah so just move 5th resource up above total vill counter
thats easy i’ll ask assertive for files when he’s available, assuming he agrees with it
He disagrees, luckily.
Like some kind of QOL IMPROVEment?
It’s not a bad idea, but I want to avoid layout changes to the ingame UI. Doing that may mess with people’s muscle memory and make it feel clunky.
Can you look into this issue? From what I’ve seen, in your mod it still works like in DE, not like in legacy version.
