I want to add that this isn’t complete.
In the scenario editor, where you pick the lightning of the map, there are 4 new lightings that will set the skies for you in the editor itself.
the lightings are called
- photomode sky day
… and similarly the other 3 you can find in the skirmish games. This automatically sets up both the sky and the lightning in the editor.
In theory, checking how these lightnings are made, we can mod our very own lightning set and skies.
Its unfortunate that the sun rotation/night cycle is bugged in the editor, as that is a feature that exists and works in AOM.
