Move SG to age2, make it “Arrive Fast”, delivers 200c. It would incentivate age2 play and slow down any revolt/FI.

I think the Canoneer already carries a, uh, “heavy arquebus”, so if anything I’d name the unit something along the names of Espingardero.
Also for the people requesting 19th century facelifts for Spain, your Volunteers and Miquelets still fall short and archaic for what you really have in mind, they are 18th century at best. If you wanna go 19th century, you’d be looking more towards, uh, Guardias Civiles and maybe Tercios Vascongados.
Rayadillo uniforms would be cute in game but those are almost 20th century.
Anything except ‘Cannon’-neer would do 
But in all seriousness, yeah Espingardero fits much better (I’m rubbish on the actual Spanish terms).

I am not in favour of including modern units. I think that Spain needs arquebusiers before age 2 or 3 musketeers in order to be able to assemble a Tercio, which is the era that the game deals with.
The games era is pretty wide.
I think Guardia Civil fits the Age 4 transformation category.
Kinda like how the Ordinance Troops Portugal has,But in the game they are in their 18th century looks…Even while they were a rather old military section (1570-1800s)
But how is a civil guard going to fit into a game from the colonial era??? xD it’s absurd. And besides, it’s not an army unit, it’s a police unit.
Aparte, se veria super ridículo que cambien a un ballestero por una guardia civil. Es como que, voy hago un fi de piqueros y ballesteros y termino con guardias civiles acompañados por tercios del siglo 16 jaja. Para mi lo mejor sería es que le den a España una carta como landwehr, que cambie los ballesteros por un arcabucero. Mientras que las unidades que cuestan oro quedarían más modernas, sólo tendrían que hacer una skin nueva para el lancero en edad 4, y a el rodelero no se me ocurre como modernizarlo, pero lo bueno es que la guardia Valona cumple la función del rodelero.

Its a mix of Colonial and Imperial. After Colonization. There is an era of stopping to expand then trying to assert their power that allows them to keep their empires. Speaking of Police. The Oprichnik are sort of the same thing. Its just that Russians are pretty hardcore haha.

No tiene nada de ridículo, la Guardia Civil participó en la mayoría de los conflictos del siglo XIX en España defendiendo al gobierno. Es solo que la mayoría de estos conflictos fueron internos, aún así también tuvieron participación destacada en Africa.
Yo creo que aquí yace el problema, modernizar la civ implica… por burdo que suene, enfrentarse a conflictos modernos. Ya no es la España romantizada de antaño, es una España más reconocible a lo que hay hoy en día, y no hay nada más palpable al repecto que el hecho de que la Guardia Civil es una de las fuerzas armadas más preponderantes en este siglo.

Es bastante ridiculo ver a la guardia civil en un juego de la época colonial y de guerra externas. Y llevar ballesteros con guardia civiles ya ni te digo xD.
