Lithuanians and Cumans still have very wrong AI player names

I wonder when the devs are gonna notice this. I hope it gets fixed soon. The Lithuanians will very often have AI names belonging to the Cumans and Tatars. The Cumans themselves occasionally have wrong names, but this doesn’t happen very often.

I hope this gets fixed. It’s not a gameplay issue, per se, but it is a flavor one, and completely spoils the immersion when it happens.

If you have the patience, you could list the names so the devs know what to look for.

I don’t know all the names, but Tong Yaghu Khagan is a recurring one for the Lithuanians.

Yes, i saw that bug. Lits have turkic names but i am not sure about cumans, i did not check for them.

I got the Cumans in a team game once as another player. They had a Lithuanian name, IIRC.

The whole thing is screwed up, but ONLY for the Lithuanians and Cumans.

AI player names

When playing a random map game against the computer, the player may encounter any of the following Lithuanian AI characters:

  • Algirdas: Grand Duke of Lithuania; died 1377. Alongside of Kestutis, he is the main subject of the Lithuanian campaign of the Dawn of the Dukes expansion.
  • Gediminas: Grand Duke of Lithuania; died 1341
  • Jaunutis: Grand Duke of Lithuania; died 1345.
  • Jogaila: Founder of the Polish–Lithuanian union: died 1434. He is the protagonist of the last scenario of Algirdas and Kestutis and an important character in Jadwiga’s campaign.
  • Kestutis (Kęstutis): Also known as Kinstut, the ruler of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Ruthenians as the Duke of Trakai from 1342 to 1382. Alongside Algirdas, he is the main subject of the Lithuanian campaign of the Dawn of the Dukes expansion.
  • Mindaugas: First and only King of Lithuania; died 1263.
  • Netimeras: Ruler of the Yotvingians; lived around 1009.
  • Svitrigaila: Grand Duke of Lithuania; died 1432.
  • Traidenis: Grand Duke of Lithuania; died 1282.
  • Treniota: Grand Duke of Lithuania; died 1264.
  • Vytautas the Great: Grand Duke of Lithuania and Postulated King of Hussites. He also concluded the Union of Krewo with Poland. He died 1430. He appears in the Algirdas and Kestutis and Jadwiga campaigns.
  • Vytenis: Grand Duke of Lithuania; died 1316.
  • Zebedenas: Yotvingian nobleman; lived around 1009.
  • Zvelgaitis: First known Lithuanian duke; died 1205.

AI player names

When playing a random map game against the computer, the player may encounter any of the following Cuman AI characters:

  • Aepa: A Cuman khan; died around 1120.
  • Alp Tarkhan: A Khazar general who was active in the early 8th century on the war against the Arabs.
  • Altunopa: One of the many clans who made up the Cuman-Kipchak confederation. Their name means “Gold Clan”.
  • Boniak the Mangy: A Cuman chieftain in the late 11th and early 12th century who allied with the Byzantines against the nomadic Pechenegs and later made war against the Rus’ and Hungary.
  • Bulan Khagan: A Khazar king who led the ####### to convert into Judaism sometime between the 8th and 9th century.
  • Danylo Kobiakovych: A Cuman khan in the 1220s.
  • Ildeya Khan: A Pecheneg prince; lived around 975.
  • Konchak Otrakovich: A Cuman khan, who was involved in wars and raids with the Russians and united the western and eastern Cuman-Kipchak tribes.
  • Kotyan Khan: The main character of the Cumans’ campaign. He is a Cuman-Kipchak khan who made alliance with various Eastern Europe rulers to oppose the Mongols
  • Kurya Khan: A Pecheneg khan; ruled to 988.
  • Otrok Khan: A Cuman-Kipchak khan; died 1125.
  • Sokal: A Cuman chieftain who won a major victory against the Kievan Rus’ in 1061.
  • Sutoi: Father of Kotyan.
  • Yurii Konchakovych: A Cuman khan in the 1220s.
