@RustyCrow6939 i think as in many things of the 21 year life span of aoe 2 there been many things that got abused and some of them still remain now with de they fixed a bunch but a whole new bunch of exploits pop up and well i see that you are angry that the devs dident respond to alot of them
Agrees, there are so many games have smurf issues.
In the traditional RPG, smurf usually helped to gather resources or for auto making money.
And for those games not requiring level and game money, like AOE and League of Legends, smurfing is simply destroying the matching system which supposed to make up 2 balanced sides. It’s really like cheating the weight in a boxing competition, those people should be shame on themselves.
That’s why we see a bunch of people trying to defending this toxic behavior.
“People incapable of guilt usually have a good time”
You know why that’s dumb?
Let’s take for example, the player named “Stark” who is clearly a smurfer or a recently migrated player from voobly. Stark (AoE2.net)
If you enter his profile, he plays 1 or 2 matches per day on average. If he’s a smurfer, I calculate next month he’s going to hit the ceiling and start losing points on purpose. If he’s not a good player, maybe even earlier.
Now, think about it, he can STILL do that without family sharing.
For TGs, there is no way to smurf without buying multiple copies of the game, having multiples PC on hand (with the help of friends, etc) and login in at the same time. A scenario that doesn’t use the family sharing feature at all. For example, a smurfer player can be in cahoots with friends on the other side of the globe to smurf.
Anyway, your suggestion is dumb and short-sighted.
Yup, I was pretty happy when I saw this game alive again last year.
The last time I played AOE2 was about during 2006 to 2012 period.
Back to the game after 10 years defintely very excited.
The DE was good at the start, but during that time, the smurf elo push is already happened which I have already believed it will ruined the TG soon or later.
It’s really feel pity they make the best competitive game in history with non-competitive match up right now and turn this game to the dark age again.
can you stop defending smurf?
most of the people here wont agree with you, don’t waste your time to justify your disgusting and non-sense thoughts.
your justifications are totally non-sense to me.
Can you stop proposing dumb stuff?
I’ll just quote myself here:
And now think again the Environment was stable for voobly so it dident caused trouble or was under mined but now we have de with a whole new Environment that doesnt fit the criteria in anymore
The fundermental idea has changed and we abbolish selfish ideas and want a system that is just i mean thats probably why they punish alt f4
That’s exactly my point.
They should implement pertinent solutions to fix the problems. Not ignore the problems and kick out a portion of the active playerbase.
they’re not active player base. 1 player with 5 accounts still counts as 1 player, unless he can play all his accounts at the same time, but not even the Viper can pull that off.
Read the whole thread. We are not talking about smurfers who use multiple accounts to enter ranked TGs.
We are talking about people who use family sharing to play campaigns, test mods, play custom scenarios, mini games, create visual novels and short in-game movies, AMV, etc.
Thats the problems the voobly generstion cant just expect that they go their way like the old days and not get punished
I repeat
Its s new Environment and this new one needs certain restrictions that might look silly in your head
But thats the most use of smurfs so the biggest problem and i think the rest is rather minor
Which doesn’t involve family sharing. Because to smurf, people have to buy the game multiple times, have many computers and log in at the same time. That has nothing to do family sharing.
What? xD No they don’t have to buy the game again, what gave you that idea??
Lol what. They can’t log in at the same time in one pc, mate.
They have to use a second pc, but that doesn’t work with family sharing xd.
Actually with family share you share your copy of aoe2 de without reprocussioms and they can play it without a need of putchasing the actual game
Thats why family share is dangerous
Are you sure you know what smurfing is?
Are you asking me or pizza?
Because its obvious whats smurfing is atleast for me
And it reflects pretty good in the current elo of some smurfs in tg
I’m asking Pizza xD Idk why he thinks people need to buy the game again to smurf, they just create another steam account and use family share! щ(゜ロ゜щ)
