at this point you HAVE to be trolling to compare this unit coloring or anything in this shot remotely to age4…

@GusTank04 Indeed. Because Age 2 was never meant to be a mobile game.
However fortnite was proted, so the mobile version of fortnite is a mobile game. Just as the switch version is a switch game. Even though the PC version stays a PC game. Therefore as soon as its ported, its called a multi platform game.

I see mobile game graphic.

if age 2 DE would be ported to mobile, I would consider it a multi platform game, and the mobile version a mobile game

look again then. Its not that hard to see no mobile game actually has these graphics

10yo online games or free mobile games have such graphics.

graphics 0/10
pricing 0/10
gameplay 0/10
civilizations 2/10 (for that they managed to add Delhi and Rus to the basegame)
greed 10/10

again, please show me these games. And we were talking mobile, remember? online games may have much better looks because they are - online. So your PC doesnt process nearly as much

Why?
I don’t see any toxic behavior here.

Has a lot of “stuff” but still looks flat because of simple textures that have to be able to run on potatoes.

I wonder if this will be ported to mobile, oh I wonder…

Models structure is nice though

i am not sure how I would be able to call the second shot “flat”?

That’s the problem actually.

It’s missing something. Either more sharp details on textures or some sort of specular or environment reflection. I can’t quite put my finger on it.

The lack of this “thing” makes the environment in this picture have some sort of “rubber” feel to me., especially the trees/foliage.

This is also present in a few other games like Paladins, Torchlight 2 and Valorant., although in a much stronger way. It is not so present in AoE4, but still there.

No hate or anything, just my input/feedback

EDIT: Here look at the new Stalker game at 2:45: O JOGO QUE PODE DOMINAR O GÊNERO DOS GAMES EM 2022 ! | STALKER 2 - YouTube

See how a lot of the environment “reflects” and that adds a lot more depth to the scene?

I work with game development and, believe me… it’s not that hard to do. It requires a bit of fine tuning, but it is way waaay less complex than programming a good AI like AoE has. Games have been doing this for years.

The water textures are worse than the original AOE III that’s for sure.

I never played Forge of Empires but from seeing this video, textures don’t look like rubber like AoE4 does.

Nice. I’m sure there are some nice mobile games out there, but my mobile is pretty old and I’d rather spend to upgrade my PC because I use it for modeling/texturing so I don’t know much about mobile games.
