I’ve unlocked the US civ through the 50 missions. I know, some people (in this forum) had buggs where they couldnt play USA after unlocking or where progress in the missions was lost, but this didnt occur on my instalation before. Now, after preordering African Royals and downloading the patch yesterday, i’ve ‘lost’ my acces to the US civ.

  • 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. unlock USA via event/missions
  2. buy African Royals DLC
  3. play on a german version of AOEIII (?)

Maybe some of you have the same problem and can tell, if it has anything to do with the ‘german version of the game’ or if reinstalling helped. (I dont want to reinstall 42GB for nothing :sweat_smile:)

Deutsch ist hier ganz sicher nicht das problem…
Ich würde erstmal empfehlen, die folgenden Ordner zu löschen, und das Spiel neu zu starten:
MACH EIN BACKUP ALLER ORDNER!!!

  • mods
  • data
  • game
  • Savegame

Zu finden sind diese Ordner in: C:\Users\ {Username}\Games\Age of Empires 3 DE\ {Random Number}

I have the same problem. I preordered AR, but unlocked the civs through the challenges.

I too have lost access to the USA. It says the DLC is locked!

But I had done all the 50 states during the challenge event.

I am logged in. I also can’t access US.

Yes I am.

I guess there’s a server maintenance going on. Maybe that’s the issue? The US was available yesterday iirc.

Server maintance should not be a reason to remove contend from your game… Sicne the " dlc " is activated in steam

My DLC was never activated in Steam - when I go to the Steam DLC page, it always asks me to buy it, even when I own it.

More reason to talk to the support direktly

I also have the same bug! Were you able to solve it?

So after the server update, the US was returned to me! It seems that my DLC is not activated on Steam, but through the Xbox server, so during the server update the game couldn’t access Xbox and said that its not there.

Just wanted to come back and say it… What a bad way to enable the dlc. So once Aoe3 DE shuts down, it’s rip USA for you all.

If the Aoe3DE shuts down (following your thinking), everything would be gone, so it’s not RIP only for USA :unamused: :roll_eyes:

Singleplayer contend would stay. But if the MP service goes down only the free civ would vanish.
