Yet another thread talking about the same thing, current filter makes it very hard to communicate, it filters regular messages.
There is an option to mute people, what else would one need. Please add an option to toggle this out

Worse yet, the chat filter literally does not work, it completely ignores things that a reasonable chat filter would filter.
I can agree, especially when i write in to friends when i cant talk, it blocks random words from our language. annoying.
The other day, at one point, it started censoring the word ‘BBC’. I don’t know what to say.
the current chat filter is comically bad.
- in any language other than English it censors random words
- even in English it censors harmless words and common aoe2 jargon, while also ignoring actual abuse.
However fixing it (or even just allowing us to switch it off) would mean actually listening to the players, so I wouldn’t hold my breath.
