Cmon self materializing oxes are too much even in mythology.
Lets go even further:
- Everytime you queue military unit, man and woman go in and are seen raise a child on the yard
- Villagers start as clumsy teens and evolve to responsible adults overtime. Then become useless and eventually die from old age
- Myth units are just various men in single costume
- Heroes cannot fight, they only preech about how good they are and how “they achieved the impossible”
- Buildings decay overtime, losing their colour and hitpoints. The speed and colour depend on material they’re made of

Good change, I would pay for a cosmetic pack of this.
As for letting Norse villagers build houses and Ox carts, I don’t know how to feel. I see its obvious benefits but also think it might hurt the Norse’s identity as a Civ. I don’t have a really strong option and I like this as a Norse player myself, but I think we need to wait till the next beta to better see how this might affect balance.
Norse still have mobile drop-off points, the identity’s almost untouched.
This is one of the best changes in Retold actually, picking off ox-cart was so lame in the original game, especially on maps where resources were far away from TCs.
I’m talking about having Norse villagers build, but I see your point. I’d just thought it worth at least mentioning regardless.

I love a number of changes to Norse such as being able to build Houses and Ox Carts with your Gatherers and Dwarfs.
