After the update the Varangian Guards speak norse, personally I thing this is a bad change.
The Varangian Guards came from various places, there were vikings, aglosaxons, rus and others.
And even thought they did not know Greek when they arrived, they learned.
They were the personal bodyguards of the Emperor and took orders only from him, and they were considered some of the finest soldiers of the Imperium.
It would have beed very akward if they didnt speak Greek.
Also they have some really very nice voice lines so its really sad to see them removed.
