Map Generation Balance Issues

If could maybe help devs if people post the seed code as well (can be seen by pressing ESC).

5fd38624 is the map seed. Taiga Winter Mongolian heights. Doing a 1v1 vs ai.

Shouldn’t the enemy TC be further away from you/ nearer corner on opposite side of map in a 1v1? It normally is. I am Mongols but I didn’t move my TC away from starting position to make this happen. Enemy is Chinese.

That is an unusually close enemy spawn. It is made more unusual by the fact that their TC spawned right next to a neutral market!

Unfortunately I cannot load to replay. Its the got the bug. I think it was Altai.

No problem. We are looking at unfair spawns all-up, so improvements will be made overall.

1 SACRED SITE VRS DELHI AND MONGOLS… HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO COUNTER THIS? MONGOL PARKS HIS TC ON THE SITE AND THEN DELHI WALLS OFF WHILE HES CAPPING IT… YOU HAVE 8 MINS TO DECAP IT WHILE THEY BOTH SPAM UNITS AROUND THE WALLS AND TC… BROKEN TO FK…

THIS GAME IS GONNA DIE FAST IF THEY DONT FIX THIS CRAP

I think you need to use more caps. I’m sure that without more caps there’s no way that they will ever be aware of the issues with the random generation of maps.

I mean it’s amazing that even you figured it out; though it’s good you did since I don’t want this game to die!

The game needs emergency patch. I hope devs will release until two weeks.

Unless I’m missing something but isn’t this the purpose of randomized maps and all? You have to adapt on each map differently in order to achieve victory or am I missing something here?

I think the issue is that you can just random into a map where you have a massive disadvantage. And that’s not really fun or something you can meaningfully counter. It just means you have a game which is skewed one way.

You can try to farm civ masteries vs IA waiting for the patches.

So you’re saying they both capped 2/3 sacred sites?

So you’re saying you and your teammate allowed them to capture all 3 sites.

My advice is first of all:
Don’t let them cap all 3 sites. This is a 2v2 after all, you two should be able to muster a decent force to prevent them from taking all sites.

Also, if they are investing all their resources into the sacred sites why don’t you and your teammate landmark push them at feudal?

I think he’s upset that king of the hill map relies on controlling the hill and only has 1 sacred site. Now some maps have issues (Nagari forest gen blocking half of the map sometimes comes to mind). The map design itself is fine though. He’s just upset there’s a gold rush type map.

hmm my post was removed? i said are you dumb? did you read the post? there was 1 sacred site! impossible to rush due to TC… impossible to siege within 8 mins due to 2 players camping it

i think he is complaining about maps with only one sacred site
