Market should restore old prices over time

Market should restore old prices over time, It shold slowly go back to defaulkt value,. The idea that someoen buys off all stone, and every one else cant afford it anymore is absurd. The market price should slowly go back to default value to keep the game going and ressources purchasable,.

I thought of this as a civ bonus. Not sure it would be broken for all civs.

From the title I thought you are asking to revert the latest food cost increase.

This may solve Feitoria issue though Portuguese players may cry.

I dunno, games shouldn’t go on for that long. If you’re selling 100 wood for 14 gold then your game is a loss.

bare in mind that market prices are shared between all players, so this might be a disadvantage. eg if player A controls the gold, but but player B can still sell wood/food for prices that player A keeps improving through this bonus

I’m not opposed to this but definitely not the matter of greatest importance rn. But like a rate of reducing by X amount of gold buy/sell per minute is not a bad idea. Would need to be relatively slow. Another thing this might help with is the relic intensive meta on arena because as of now whoever gets more relics is more likely to win the game on that map.

Market prices are common, only modified by the player fee (buy +n% and sell -n% relative to the actual price), it couldn’t move for one player and stay static for the others.

I thought of that. For this specific civ, Market prices would be totally isolated and unaffected by other players.

Uninteresting. There are more interesting ways to address late game resource issues.

How about a mechanism by which enemy markets can get “captured” if their town is lost or surrounding buildings are lost, allowing you to trade with the “captured” market. Much more interesting mechanism and actually something that adds depth and strategy to the game rather than a passive thing that just happens in the background. Also this kinda rewards turtling and the losing player too much.

It doesn’t add nothing because you can already trade with enemy markets.

There was someone proposed that options for gaia Market is available.

An excellent trick in campaigns. Against human players, a player would quickly react and either destroy his market to rebuild it in a safer place, or keep it as a bait for your trade carts. It only works if you manage to knock an enemy player out while sparing his market.

Tell me you’re a communist without saying you’re a communist.

wood, stone, gold runs out. Game is broken at this state. fix asap!

I just wondered how long your game is. You mentioned that Deathmatch is ‘real’ game and you only play Deathmatch. Deathmatch starts with a lot of resources and you cannot finish your opponent even spending all resources and rely on market.

Yes but its extremely unlikely. Enemy can just delete market if they lose access to an area and you are trading with them. I propose that the market changes ownership so the enemy can’t just delete it and would have to reclaim control of it if they want to stop you from trading.

do you realize how many bugs this would introduce? 11
you introduce market switching sides and suddenly making a trade cart deduct resources from your opponent
