:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

:point_down: I was finishing a long heavy game full of units, walls and buidlings, a 2v2v2v2. Like 1 hour of pure carnage. I know that is costly from a memory and processor perspective, but my machine is really expensive. In short, the guy i had beaten was saying aztec sucks, i started to explaining that they are really good know, but the meta is changed. Those few messages were enough to make my crash. This happened a lot of times before, but this one is different. Now i have a 3000 USD new PC, it should be enough. But it doesn’t. Now i know i cannot communicate anymore in game in the mid to late stages of it because of risk of crashing. Is it that difficult to solve the issue almost 3 years after the release of the game? Don’t take me wrong, the game gets better with every patch, the reworks and balance changes are simply amazing, the stability of games is better and everything is better. So i wonder: is this issue that difficult to solve? is it something so complex ?For sure it is, because you would have solve it already if it wasn’t, but pls put some time in this. Not being able to write anything out of fear of a 1 hour game crashing is a bummer. Maybe the animation of the chat is very heavy for the system to support? I don’t know, i’ve been reporting this for years, and nobody even answers me. At least give me an answer. It is impossible that i’m the only one having this kind ofr problem. Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Start game
  2. Play for more than 40 minutes or so, usually FFA or 2v2v2v2 with a lot of buildings and units being made
  3. Starting to chat heavily after those 40 minutes, then it will crash

:point_down: Being able to chat without the fear of game crashing.

:point_down: Cannot take screenshots of a crash, but now it just says “lost conection” like it was some internet problem. It isn’t i check that afterwards, no interrnet instability whatsoeever

yeah me too . I’m having this problem now very often .

Same. Right now, if i don’t finish the game by the 20 minute mark, it will inevitably freeze. This was NEVER the case just a couple of patches ago. Has nothing to do with chatting for me.
