Memory leak problem (I believe)

I just can’t start any match without my pc crash and BSOD, I tried everything and didn’t work, so when I open the game still in the menu, the memory occupied is 1800MB, for me it doesn’t make sense. I’m pretty sure that my computer has all the requirements to run this game.

ps.: Yes, UHD is disabled, everything is in the minimum.

For me, during gameplay, the game consumes 3-4 GB of RAM and an additional 1-1.3 GB of VRAM. So without dedicated graphics memory, the game can currently use upto 5.3 GB RAM. With windows taking another 1.5 GB in the background, I believe the correct minimum system requirements should be 8 GB of RAM.

I know my notebook isn’t powerful but it meets the requirements, and really I’ve never seen something like that before, consunming so much ram for nothing, it’s just a 1999 game with better graphics.

Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~1.8GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM Available OS Memory: 8102MB RAM

Chip type: GeForce MX150
DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
Display Memory: 6034 MB
Dedicated Memory: 1983 MB
From Dxdiag

The game regularly uses 5 GB of ram for me, and that’s without the Ultra HD graphics installed. I hear that with the UHD graphics, it requires 16+ GB of ram.

This ram usage is completely to be expected when everything is 60 FPS HD sprites and not 3D graphics. Not A Bug.

Your real issue is your CPU. This game only runs on a single core, which means you basically only have a single 1.6 GHz processor… which is as powerful as a typical laptop from 2003 or so. Outdated doesn’t even begin to describe it. No chance of that running this game.

Make sure you have the page file size set to system managed. Your laptop should definitely run the game no problem, i5-8250U boosts to 3.4 Ghz, which is not bad.

EDIT: Also set your power plan to high performance.

IDK man, i just tried everything again and didn’t work, I will just give up and play the HD version. It’s the same everytime AOE2DE as you can see just don’t respond and BSOD.
Thank you and goodbye.
