Turn off steam overlay.
So-- I am sure this has been figured out and people have posted on it-- I personally have only seen people complain that the menu is laggy and crap… I agreed.
I thought it was initally a memory leak, I just spent 40 minutes looking over my system memory to see if that was the case-- nothing was out of order.
Then I remember steam overlay can trash some games.-- Turned it off-- buttery smooth menu.
Since I bought the game, the earth in the background was terribly choppy, now thats smooth as anything.
