AoE:DE is a Windows 10 exclusive. You may be able to run the game on a Mac with Boot Camp or virtualization.

Not official reason but MS aren’t interested in Apple Store
Aren’t interested in oldie Win OS or other OS for gaming.
Ms are interested in their services, not in a third party client.
Service like Win Store or Xbox live.

No. Even in pc you need win10.
You can use bootcamp.
