However, as an opponent and conservative for new civilizations, the limit originally has nothing to do with you maybe.

I am and never was against adding more civilizations.I strongly want to see fitting civis get added.

I say that without Gauls this game will not be complete. We need villagers that drink magic potion made by Druid (that would be special Gaul unit that substitutes Monk) and in the process change into unstoppable warriors that break walls with single hit.

Oh, I almost forgot: they get food only by hunting boars, but a single villager can carry 2 full boars back to the village.

There’s not a “hard” limit to the number of civs to select like there is as to max number of players in a single game (where over X amount breaks the underlying algorithm used, something goes too far exponential, etc). Code does need to change, but it should be straightforward.

It’s more about managing stuff be broken into DLCs, the UI for it all, etc.
